- Cape Town Metropolitan area
This is the area between Table Mountain and Hottentots Holland and encompasses lively cosmopolitan city life, beach playgrounds, forests and exquisite nature parks.
- Table Mountain
Cape Town’s most famous landmark, enjoy a quick spin by our revolving cable car to the 1086m summit and enjoy the grand view of one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Undeniably the biggest tourist attraction in South Africa, Table Mountain draws local holiday makers as well as tourists from around the world. The summit can be reached by trails or cable-car and Table Mountain is also known as a World heritage Site.
- The Famous V & A Waterfront
The most visited attraction in Cape Town is the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront with its assortment of shopping, eating, entertainment and sightseeing facilities, all set within the Cape Town Harbour.
- Robben Island
The V & A Waterfront is also the gateway to Robben Island, a former prison (now national monument). The island was `home’ to many of South Africa’s freedom fighters including Nelson Mandela. The historical importance of Robben Island (meaning "Seal Island") can be gauged by its designation as a National Museum and cultural heritage site.
- Cape Fortress
The oldest surviving building in South Africa is the Castle of Good Hope, the pentagonal fortress built by personnel of the Dutch East India Company back in the 1660s-70s. Today it houses the regional headquarters of the South African Defense Force in the Western Cape, and a military museum. The castle is South Africa's oldest and largest remaining colonial building. In 1936 it was declared a national monument.

Townships such as Guguletu and Langa have overwhelming hospitality, informal roadside traders and taverns serving local beer. Guided tours are recommended to get to most out of the township experience.

Cape Town has many markets and impressive shopping centres and malls. One of the most talked about shopping venues is the impressive 400-outlet Canal Walk at Century City. Cape Town also boasts the Ratanga Junction Theme Park and the Grand-West Casino and Entertainment world.
- Great Gardens of the World
Kirstenbosch is one of the world’s greatest botanical gardens with a wealth of indigenous plants. Classical concerts can be enjoyed in the gardens on some evenings. Enjoy one of the hiking trails in Kirstenbosch, and you can even hike all the way up Table Mountain!
- Nightlife
Cape Town city centre is known to many as the party capital of Africa, there are hundreds of bars, restaurants and clubs just waiting to be explored through to the wee hours of the morning.
- Winelands
Just a 45-minute drive from Cape Town and you’re in the mountains and valleys of the Winelands, which consists of Cape Dutch homesteads, cask-lined cellars, oak-treed towns and ultra fine restaurants. The towns of Stellenbosch, Franschoek and Paarl are delightful and beg to be explored and savoured very slowly, like a good wine. The Cape has become synonymous with the art of wine-making. The Cape Winelands are a heaven of gracious, white-gabled farmsteads evoking a rich, elegant heritage.
- Whale Watching
The Cape Town seas are frequented by a large number of whales each season. The most popular places to see the whales are: Hermanus, Cape Agulhas, Plettenberg Bay, Lamberts bay and Vredenburg.
